2022 Sangiovese

Sangiovese generally takes on different personalities depending on vinification techniques and viticultural practices, yet is well known for its gripping tannin and need for aging. True to form, we’re making something different with this lovely grape – a fruit-forward wine, in a drink-now summer porch pounder style. Toss a light chill on this beauty and serve with your favorite grilled melons, gazpacho, or tuna poke.

An unexpected glimpse into the “old world” with cigar box and cedar taking front stage with ripe wild-berry fruit trailing closely behind.  Deep and complex, this Sangiovese straddles new world fruit with old world freshness backed by enticing secondary notes as stated above.  Thoroughly impressive Cal-Ital bottling with gorgeous color extraction.
